One of the great things about having a blog is the opportunity it gives me to write regularly.
Writing was – and probably remains – my first love.
I spent almost a decade in newspapers before moving into television news, and when I did so, the thing I missed most was the writing – TV news scripts are generally only a few paragraphs long.
That’s probably one of the reasons I transferred over to documentaries as soon as I could – longer programmes and longer scripts, plus the opportunity to write briefings and background reports along the way.
And now, having this blog to produce every week is brilliant, along with the various guest articles I write, the briefings for media training clients, the scripts for client videos.
So it’s probably a natural extension for us to write for others – and that’s just what we’re starting to doing.
We’ve just taken on our first regular copywriting commission to produce a weekly blog for a client, along with promoting her as an expert in her field to the media, managing her social media presence, and writing feature pieces for the press.
It’s a happy combination of our media relations expertise and our writing ability, and a really exciting development for Rough House.
It’s a service we’re very happy to offer to other clients, so if you’re looking for regular copywriting help – or indeed media relations support (or both!), then do get in touch on 020 8332 6200, info@roughhouse.co.uk.
