If you live in the UK, you can hardly fail to have noticed that the Queen had her (official) 90th birthday at the weekend. As usual, this was celebrated with a series of events – a church service at St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday, Trooping the Colour on Saturday, and the Patron’s Lunch on Sunday.
All of these were broadcast by the BBC and I was very happy to be part of the production team working on the highlights programmes which were broadcast each evening.
Here are some of my memories of the weekend’s production.
